24 February 2003 - Mark Seymour Joined Pearl Jam In Perth! Excellent news for fans of Mark Seymour and Pearl Jam! Mark Seymour joined Eddie Vedder at the Perth Pearl Jam concert for a rendition of "Throw Your Arms Around Me". Thanks to the (awesome) Pearl Jam official bootleg series, you can purchase this performance by buying the Perth (23 February 2003) gig from Pearl Jam Bootlegs. Below is a quote from X-Press Magazine on the duet: "...What happened next was one of those great, unforgettable rock moments: Vedder invited ex-Hunters And Collectors frontman Mark Seymour on stage to join him in a duet of Seymour's classic Throw Your Arms Around Me - a song Vedder declared he's sung at every campfire he's ever sat around. The word is Vedder was playing the song in sound check when he was informed Seymour was in town - the hunt was on."
18 January 2003 - Hunters and Collectors Song on DVD A DVD video version of the five CD "Australia's Ultimate Songs" collection has appeared. 9 October 2002 - Jack Howard UK Release Jack Howard's solo debut album "Secrets and White Lies" was released in the UK this week! The official release date was Monday the 7th of October 2002.
6 April 2002 - Under One Roof Sales It turns out that 1998 Hunters and Collectors final live cut, "Under One Roof", has been selling rather well. It is already past 150,000 sales in Australia, which qualifies it as double platinum. This puts "Under One Roof" up there in Australian sales terms with "Human Frailty", "Ghost Nation" and "Cut" (the top selling Hunna's albums). Those who are particularly alert may note that "Under One Roof" never entered the Australian top 100 albums chart - leading to the question of how it could have possibly sold 150,000 copies. The reason for this 'inconsistency' is chart rules used by the Australian chart authority ARIA (the Australian Record Industry Association). "Under One Roof:" had a RRP (recommended retail price) of A$20, which was well below the 'normal' RRP of around A$31. ARIA does not allow albums with RRP's that low to enter the album chart.
4 February 2002 - New Mark CD In Stores! The new Mark Seymour live CD, The Ballad Of The One Eyed Man Live At The Basement, is now available in music stores across Australia.

14 November 2001 - Mark On Rove Live Album Mark Seymour and band performed "Don't You Know Me?" on Rove Live earlier this year. This recording is now to be included on a Rove Live CD album called "...Some Music" as track 11. This album shall be released this coming Monday (19th of November 2001) and will be available in most Australian music stores.
22 October 2001 - Mark Seymour On "Cold Live At The Chapel" CD Perhaps this news should have appeared a while ago, but I just realised that Mark Seymour appears on the "Cold Live At The Chapel" CD volume two out in Australia. The tracks that can be found on this CD are "Holy Grail" and "Don't You Know Me?".
12 October 2001 - Mark Seymour Departs FMR Mark Seymour and company have departed ways with Festival Mushroom Records. This follows a number of other artists that have split with Festival Mushroom Records in recent years including Paul Kelly and Deadstar (before they split). Hunters and Collectors were on Mushroom Records from their formation in 1981.
14 September 2001 - Mark Seymour Wins Aria! Congratulations to Mark Seymour as he won the 2001 ARIA award 'Best Adult Contemporary Album' for "One Eyed Man". This award was regarded as a "pre-aria" and the full ARIA nominations have now been announced. Mark is not on the short list for any more ARIA's unfortunately. So who are ARIA anyway? ARIA is the Australian Record Industry Association, and they publish the Australian music charts from sales around the country. They give certifications to singles, albums, etc (Gold, Platinum) and hold a big awards ceremony every year called the ARIA awards. The variety of awards on offer are only available to Australian recording artists. They release nominations (five for each category) a few weeks before the 'big night' and all releases from the last year are eligible. Hunters and Collectors got a few ARIA nominations back in 1990 for Ghost Nation, but only actually won the one for artwork (well, Rob Miles artwork is spectacular, you have to admit). The whole ARIA awards thing is given a lot of publicity and is often then used by record companies as an advertising tool and so on.
28 August 2001 - Pre-ARIA Nominations Mark Seymour has been nominated for one "Pre-ARIA". These are ARIA awards that happen to be presented before the actual ARIA night. The nomination is for Best Adult Contemporary Album:
John Farnham's sold the most out of the above but was disappointing overall (sorry Johnny).
30 July 2001 - Site Rename: True Believers Caelie suggested "True Believers" as a better name for the site and now it has been changed. "Hunna's Nation" was always a slightly cheesy name =)
13 July 2001 - Site Online This site was launched online on this date.
