Former Hunter Expands Musical Horizons

FROM the MCG to St Kilda Bowling Club, there are not many venues Jack Howard hasn’t played. The Elwood resident and former Hunters and Collectors band member is tuning up for the release of his CD, Lost Horizon. Howard teamed with The Nightbirds - Jo Schornikow, Kieran Jones and Jeremy Hopkins - for the album, recorded in Elwood and produced at St Kilda Rd’s Wesley College. Howard said the songs were gathered from old notebooks behind the couch and demo tapes. “I had a desire to do something a bit different,” Howard said. “It’s worked out really, really well.” Jack Howard and The Nightbirds’ album would be available at JB Hi-Fi and Readings, with a launch at St Kilda Bowling Club on Friday, November 27.
